Certified Medical Assistant

One 2 Wellness is seeking a reliable, professional, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing Obesity & Family Medicine practice in Plano, Texas.

Responsibilities:
• Room patients and obtain vital signs, weight, height, and medical history
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Assist providers with office procedures and patient care
• Administer injections and medications as directed by providers and within scope of practice
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and basic laboratory procedures
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Process prescription refill requests and prior authorizations
• Coordinate laboratory orders, referrals, and follow-up appointments
• Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and assist with scheduling
• Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and infection control standards
• Support clinic operations and provide excellent customer service

Qualifications:
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of medical office experience preferred
• Experience with EMR systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• Obesity medicine, primary care, endocrinology, or wellness clinic experience is a plus
